Glow Worm Cafe & Play has been serving the Louisville area since 2021. We offer a gourmet coffee shop and bakery alongside a Reggio Emilia and Montessori inspired play space for children aged 6 and under. But we aren’t just a play space. We are a community hub for families in the Louisville area. We are the only space in the city that is for both kids and caregivers — not just one or the other.

Our play rooms vary by location, but rest assured we always focus on safe play based on Reggio Emilia & Montessori principles for kids age 6 and under. View photos of our spaces here. Be sure to book a session ahead of time to guarantee your family a spot. (East location pictured.)

Our cafe welcomes everyone. We have a robust menu of beverages, from drip coffee to lattes, to delicious teas and smoothies. Our bakery goods & paninis made fresh daily by our in house baker, Dara Staggers of Staggeringly Delicious. We proudly partner with Sunergos Coffee.

With a focus on ethically made and organic goods for children from around the world, our retail shop is stocked with unique merchandise you can’t find anywhere else in town.

Our community classroom is available to rent for $50 per hour, Tuesday through Sunday from 9am to 4pm.

About Glow Worm
Glow Worm started in 2017 as a pop-up children’s clothing boutique, and as our customer base grew, so did the need for a space for parents in our community.
